Hey guys! Fantastic news - highflyer have had 2 gigs in the last week and we've given 100 of our free cds away already. We've had a great reception so far, and hopefully we'll be coming to a venue near you soon.
Leeds CU is in its Mission week at the moment. Very hectic but hopefully loads of good stuff will come out of it. I'm leading worship at church a week on Sunday, which is very exciting. God is still doing very exciting things at St. George's and there's a great feeling at church at the moment.

Hello. Check out my bands website www.highflyermusic.co.uk and listen to four of our tracks, which you can download for free! I'm ok, I'm getting really involved with stuff now. I'm leading worship at the annual CU agm tomorrow, and then I'm playing keys for the first time at church on sunday night. There's an even greater sense that God wants me in Leeds, and that's pretty cool I reckon.
A great weekend of sport saw England's chances of winning the Six Nations increase two-fold, the Steelers won the Superbowl, which I watched, and unfortunately the Cheats of Chelsea scrapped to a 2-0 win against Liverpool. Whilst they're still gonna win the league, it would be nicer if it was a challenge for them. Plus Arjen Robben should be fined for that ridiculous dive! Shocking. Monday, January 30, 2006
Good evening! I'm alive! I have to go and get some tea, but I shall post later in the week

Good evening. An exciting piece of news about my new band 'highflyer.' We now have a website, which can be viewed at www.highflyermusic.co.uk. It is very basic at the moment, as we have little time to really get it going, but hopefully in the next few weeks we'll have some cool stuff up there.
Another exciting thing: The music group at my new church is really flourishing with new people, students and non-students, and there is a huge sense of God in all that is going on, which includes setting up a new band for the evening services. It is a really exciting time, as everyone involved is really up for it. Your prayers would be appreciated at all times, especially this week as I am leading for the first time at CU. Enjoy the week! Hello from Leeds again! I'm now back in West Yorkshire, enjoying its bountiful delights, in the middle of exam period, for which I am dedicating 12 hours study a day (hmmm). Its good to be back, things are really moving on many levels: I have been asked to lead worship at the CU next weekend; my involvement with the music group at my church (St. Georges) is increasing as I go to practises and meetings about changing the way they do things, which is really exciting; also my band which now has a name, but shall remain secret for the time being, is pushing on - we have lots of new material, new equipment, and lots of enthusiasm; we are simply now looking for gigs, with a possible summer tour planned - watch this space! We are also in the process of aquiring web space and building our first website, whilst we are hoping to record a demo in the next few weeks.
Oh yeah, my work! Not too bad, I'm probably not doing as much as I should be, but hey, nevermind. Two more exams to go. Leeds is still a cool city, with a lot going on. Have a good week! Monday, January 02, 2006
A very Happy New Year to everyone!
