Sim Walker is a young worship leader from Emmanuel Church in Loughborough, Leicestershire. At 18 he has been leading worship for around 3 years.

Sim's beginnings were humble; having learnt to play the piano at the age of 7 and picking up a number of other instruments (including trombone, piano, guitar, bass and more!) he started as a young worship leader by leading times of small group worship in a youth cell group. Now he is actively involved as a leader in evening services at Emmanuel Church in Loughborough.

Over the last year Sim has been working hard at developing his song writing skills. Sim has written all the material for his new album along with some help from Mark Sandford and Alan Guilder.

An already popular track (and the title track for the new album) is 'New Day' co-written by Mark Sandford, which talks about praying for a new dawn - a time when God heals and revival fire is burning. The song is being sung in services at Emmanuel and in churches as far away as California (USA). More material is currently being recorded in the studio ready for release on his forthcoming album 'New Day'.

Sim has a passion to see a fresh creativity released in the Church in worship, as well as helping lead people into the presence of God. "I want to especially help our worship become fully God-centred moving away from just singing the songs, so that we all live lives which bring glory to God".

Sim is equally passionate about encouraging young worship leaders, if they have a clear calling on their lives "I remind them what Paul says in 1 Timothy 4v12, Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young"
